On [www.coasttocoastam.com](http://www.coasttocoastam.com), I’ve seen pix of alleged chupacabras (dead) and I know some have dismissed them as being decayed carcasses of severly mangy dogs. Now Ugly Dog Sam is supposed to be uniquely horrid, but wouldn’t a breed of feral ones which prey on poultry & small lifestock be a fairly reasonable explanation for the legend? ---

Sam was a Chinese Crested Dog, IMO one of the ugliest breeds to grace our fair planet. I very much doubt this breed is strong enough to survive long in a feral state. ---

You have to admit that the hypothesis of Sam’s demonic nature does explain a lot.
