# uh? what is SDMB doing?

It seems like it’s checking all my messages for repeated CAPITALS and then lowercasing all but the first. Or am I mistaken.
If it is, then why? because it completely ruins Initialized words such as IOM and TT and FYI

As you will note in reviewing your actual post, all your abbreviations survived in upper case. As I cannot imagine any message board software would deliberately mangle what has been posted–accidentally is a different story–I would guess that you have accidentally tripped over an odd switch in your own browser. (And what it _really_ sounds like, although I am sure you will tell me that I am mistaken, is that you are composing your posts in Word or WordPerfect (or Wordstar 😉 ) and pasting them into the reply box and that you have actually turned on a bad switch in your text editor).
