After a brutal campaign last year, Brentford has managed to achieve something positive this year: mediocrity, within the cozy confines of League 2. But my stateside team is doing great – the New England Revolution are in the MLS Cup for the third year in a row. They already won the U.S. Open Cup this year as an icebreaker. Go Bees/Revs! ---

**chowder** - well, he doesn’t play for us anymore (went to St Mirren over the summer), but nobody was that upset at losing him. decent player at this level but not getting any better. ---

**chowder** - family is half Scottish, half Oldhamers - I’m first generation southerner. My second team is Farnborough FC (Farnborough Town FC RIP), so I keep an eye on the south as well. ---

Get in! Neal Trotman puts us one-nil up against Donny (I’ll enjoy it while it lasts; they usually cane us). That’s 5 goals in 23 games for a raw centre-half rejected by Burnley - not a bad record. On the downside, Farnborough are losing at home to Burnham. ---
