The City of Manchester Stadium is our new home, Maine Road was demolished and a whole bunch of crap houses built on the site. I miss Maine Road ☹ It had atmosphere and it was full of memories, both good and bad but memories even so. COMS has atmosphere but nothing compared to Maine Rd plus the pies are fucking awful ---

Dunne is a great player for Ireland as well. Kevin Keegan really saved his career. Huge match for the honey monster this Saturday against the Italians. ---

With no premiership footy today because of international fixtures I tootled off to watch the mighty Rochdale in action against Barnet. Dale won 2-1 which takes them to 4th in the league. Up the Dale ---

Absolutely unbelievable that the goal was allowed to stand in the Sunderland - Liverpool match. Law 5, folks, Law 5. Basic refereeing 101. Drop ball at the point that the beach ball interfered with play. Gotta love the irony, though, that it was a Liverpool-thrown beach ball. 😃 By the way, pending results tomorrow, Leeds are the only undefeated team in the top five flights of English soccer. I’d really like to see them get back to the second flight; I think their fans got a bit of a raw deal from all the financial shennanigins. Just to round out the trivia, Ipswich are the only winless team in the top five flights, having managed 6 draws out of 12 played. Now for the question: who else expects to see a rain of beach balls thrown onto the pitch for the next major derby in the Premiership?? 😃 ---

After an unexpected home defeat to Accrington (who are they?) Stanley, Rochdale still occupy 3rd place and are still on course for auto promo. +++++++++++ Big game today, Liverpool v Manure. Should 'pool lose, which I hope they don’t, their season as far as the premiership is concerned, is effectively over. ---

Posh got their second win in the Championship to move out of the relegation zone. Reading can put us back in it today if they beat Leicester. There is a bit of a gap starting to develop at the bottom now but our convincing win (3-0) yesterday has at least restored some hope. I predict Liverpool will beat Man U in a dull, unconvincing display and the fickle fans will flip back to thinking Benitez is a god among managers. ---
