Although we already have a big thread for the campaign, I thought an election day and results thread might be appropriate, since we had one for the US. ---

Opinion polls say [Tories have a small lead](https://www.theguardian.com/politics/live/2017/jun/08/general-election-2017-uk-polling-day-live)…which if past experience is any indication, means they will win biiiigly. ---

Past experience may not be an indication: many of the younger voters very much regret not having voted in the Brexit referendum so will vote now. And younger voters strongly prefer Labour. ---

They have agreed to abide by the result of the referendum. Most of the Blairite MPs are extremely Europhile, but most Labour voters aren’t.
