What with a tricky Truss and a ticker so dicky as to be almost non-existent, I’d be tempted to call the Tories a bunch of [Alfonses](https://alloallo.fandom.com/wiki/Monsieur_Alfonse). Except that the last description you could apply to them is “Swiftly, and with style”. ---
