UK Jeopardy! hosted by Stephen Fry

She’s looking into whether there’s too much sax and violins in popular entertainment.

I believe the BBC also has internal guidelines on not giving away excessive prize money, as it’s coming out of the license fee (taxpayers money). Obviously that doesn’t apply to commercial channels.

I’m just surprised they didn’t call it The Great American Joking Show.

Didn’t enjoy it. US Jeopardy is great because it’s fast paced and has big prizes. This has neither. Waste of time. And Stephen Fry commenting on every single question got incredibly old, incredibly fast. I wouldn’t have thought it possible to fuck up a format as simple as Jeopardy’s but I guess I was wrong.

Edited to add: in all fairness, the contestants share some of the blame as well. Maybe it’s just me, but a lot of the time they answer like they couldn’t give a shit.
