Maybe all they teach in photo journalism class now is how to film in portrait mode on your iPhone, instead of landscape mode where you could actually see everything. 😀 ---

I just watched a video on the Russian invasion of Ukraine…circa 1918-1922. It really tells the story of how hard the Ukrainians are willing to fight, even if they ultimately go down. At one point, Ukraine is fighting the Red Army, the White Army, various partisan groups, and Poland as well! Even the allied powers of WWI were involved at one point. I knew a lot of this, but it really brings things home to see some of the historical contexts to some of this. ---

Ok, [this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5mq4f42qOuo) is a cool video. No one talks, but it shows a map of the Russian invasion time-lapsed, so you can see where Russia is pushing into Ukraine over time. It’s…kind of a chilling view if you haven’t seen it. ETA: It’s only about a minute and a half if anyone wants to check it out. ---

Slime mold was what came to my own mind. It was pretty creepy though watching the red spread. I’ve seen it on one of the interactive maps I have running, but you don’t see it progress over time.
