Not as far as I’ve been able to find out. If you are relatively young, if the excess weight is a relatively “recent” development, if you’ve never had babies, these things will all help. Also, the skin _will_ “tighten up” some on its own, over time. But anyone who loses significant amounts of weight will, inevitably (AFAIK) end up with skin issues.

I had botox injected in my balls a year or so ago (they were all wrinkled). I posted about it here. I’d linky-link, but I’m posting from my phone and haven’t figured out how to copy and paste. Maybe some enterprising doper would be kind enough to dig up my thread and post a link. Or not. Either way, my balls are smooth and shiny.

Yes, but it has to be a real corset! Bustiers don’t come down far enough on the tummy, leaving you with. . .well, whatever would be the “hanging down” equivalent of “muffin top”. My problem with corsets is I can’t find any freakin’ _long-sleeved ones_ to cover the “bat wings”. 😉 Truly, though, there’s a plethora of lingerie that will hide a _lot_ of flaws, and if you’re to that point with a guy, anyway, he shouldn’t care!

In all seriousness, I’ve told myself that if i lose the forty pounds i want to lose by november (for my sister’s wedding), I will treat my self to mesotherapy (sp?) which is a different sort of liposuction, where they inject “something” to dissolve away the fat that is expelled in your wastes. All my life, even at my skinniest (wedding day), I have had a pooch belly that no matter of diet, exercise, bulimia, crunches or anything could alleviate. I need that sucker GONE in order to live my life to the fullest.

I need to lose 50-100 pounds (depending on whether I want to just be a bit healthier or in really good shape. Most of my weight is in my belly, ass and thighs. At my age I don’t know how stretchy my skin is, so I suspect I may end up with flappy skin. Fortunately, it’ll be in places not overly visible when I’m dressed, so no one will ever see it.

I wouldn’t mind taking the easy way out and going with liposuction, but realistically I know that if I do I’ll just out it all back on unless I change my eating habits. As a friend puts it, don’t think of it as “dieting” but as a lifestyle change.
Well, as for me, I’m not looking “traveled”, I’m looking like I’ve lost 140lbs. In other words, my body is now a size 16, but my skin is still a size 32. I will be having a tummy tuck done whenever my weight decides to stabilize (every time I think it has, I drop another five pounds out of nowhere). I’ll also petition my insurance company to pay to have my “bat wings” and thighs fixed; they probably won’t, but they might, you never know. Then, whatever plastics they _won’t_ pay for (and I _know_ they’re not gonna spring for a face lift and breast lift and augmentation), I’ll have done out of country where I can _afford_ it!

In other words, no, I don’t need “a little work” done, I need a _lot_ of work done!
You need to learn to play the “insurance game”. For the breasts - talk to your doctor about the shoulder, neck and back pain - even if you dont have any! It really sucks when your boobs end up saggy and nothing but extra skin after losing weight. And really sucks when you cant find a bra that truely fits - I have to get the molded cups otherwise I just dont look right.

for the thighs - complain about the rashes , especially when exercising. Explain how your skin pinches and how uncomfortable it is to do things (like riding a bicycle). Same thing with your “wings”. Make sure you emphasize how the extra skin is always getting pinched when you do x and y (especially when you are indicating exercising, this seems to get the insurance to take notice that you are changing your lifestyle and focusing on being healthy).

Unfortunately for me, I wasnt able to get mine done before losing my job (due to a work related injury). So, off to Mexico for mine, and hopefully soon.

I’m not sure if you’re talking to me or not, but I wouldn’t get the mesotherapy until AFTER I’d lost the weight i want to lose. This pooch belly has been there since I was eighteen, through massive weight fluctuations, it doesn’t reduce, just gets flabbier and more or less pronounced. It is really a psychological block for me, because even when I weigh a perfectly healthy weight, I have to buy pants two sizes bigger to fit this belly. Skirts, dresses, all have to be baggy, even when I have thin legs and hips and arms and all that. I’m pretty sure it’s all my pent up rage.

But no, I like the look of aging naturally. It’s much more dignified than looking plasticized.

Those tips about the thighs and arms might just work. I was going to petition my insurance company to pay for them, anyway, but you’ve given me ammunition!

As for the back/neck pain, I don’t think anyone stupid enough to buy that could get a job, even with an insurance company! I started out a little less than a C cup and am now less than a B cup. Plus I need (well, want) augmentation, which my insurance _is not_ going to cover.
