# Umberto Eco - Baudolino: anyone read it?

I just saw Eco’s new book _Baudolino_ (I think I’ve got the name right) at the bookstore yesterday. I loved _The Name of the Rose_ and _Foucault’s Pendulum_, but after finding _The Island of the Day Before_ to be fairly disappointing (I borrowed a copy from a friend and couldn’t be bothered to finish it), I’m hesitant about just grabbing a copy.

So, if any dopers out there’ve read it, I’d appreciate hearing your opinions of it.
