I spend very little of my time on Facebook, and this was the first time I had seen that kind of pile on, and it was immediately recognizable as a kind of humour that could crop up in any context. The people who find it to be some kind of mystery that can only be unlocked by special knowledge aren’t inexperienced with the internet or Facebook; they’re inexperienced with _humour_. ---

Or they are experienced with _humour_, which most if not all of those posts fail to qualify as. ---

Whether it’s good or bad humour is a matter of opinion. That it constitutes an attempt at humour is a fact and transparently so. ---
