Unanimous

I like the premise, but I say lock them in a room with no bathroom breaks, no food, and no water and let them hash it out. Anyone who leaves the room is out for good. It would probably edit down to a one night TV special, but we’d get to watch people trying to out-starve each other and shitting themselves because they want the money. We want to see people earn that million dollars.

That’s what I figured, too. It is the obvious way out, and wouldn’t make for very good television, so they’d have to nip that right in the bud. I think they do a similar thing on “Survivor,” where the winner can’t make deals to split up his/her winnings with their alliance, or whatever.

This is why it makes sense that they wouldn’t tell the contestants that time is a factor. If they had told them going in they were on a deadline, they wouldn’t have wasted time with introductions or small talk or bickering or any of the things the viewers need to get interested in the characters. I’m sure they will reveal to the contestants at some point about the time crunch, when the added pressure will stir the pot.

That said, I’ve only seen part of the first episode. Quite frankly what turned me off is that they were all complaining how hot it was, and everyone’s all sweaty. Ick.

It looked to me as though they were losing about $2 per second. Does that sound about right?

That’s $7200 per hour. That could rack up fast. I hope the juice isn’t running during sleepy time.

well, now that our OP has decided to give up on the show after two episodes (after being the only one to post since the second ep aired, no less!) I think we can officially declare this show a suckfest.
