How can we be lovers if we can’t be friends? How can we make love if we can’t make amends? Walking in Memphis…do you feel the way I feel? Why do they fall in love? Do you know where you’re going to? Do you like the things that life is showing you? Where are you going to? Do you know? Do you get what you’re hoping for? What are you hoping for? Do you know? Why must we wait so long before we see how sad the answers to those questions can be? When will they ever learn? Is this the real life, is this just fantasy? ---
