Not that that really matters, as far as **Satan** ’s banning and possible request for reinstatement are concerned. Nobody here is claiming that he was banned unjustly, AFAICT. Looking at the posts that led to his banning gets you exactly what you’d expect: a poster who, at the time, deserved to be banned. Unless the SD admin really blew the call, that’s what you’d expect to find in going back and perusing the posts leading to _any_ poster’s banning. The SD administration apparently leaves the door open for banned posters to request reinstatement. I don’t expect, when they consider such requests, that they assume the likely behavior of the banned poster is forever frozen in time at the moment he was banned; otherwise there would be no point in allowing banned posters to apply for reinstatement, ever. ---

Ah. Italics make it all clearer now. What a fucking dumbass I am. You’re right. And so is Stoid. I am sorry, Stoid, for characterizing the term as a lie, and thus calling you a liar. I am completely and totally in the wrong on this issue. I offer you my honest and sincere apology on that point. I was wrong, and there’s no skirting around that issue. Eunoia - I wasn’t saying that you were hounding me. I just thought you were calling me on a term that I should not (I admit) have used, and I really didn’t have an answer for you. That’s all. It has been pointed out the me the irony of the “coal goddess” criticizing someone for referring to themselves as a “God”. Fair enough, I don’t think there is a parallel at all, even out of context, but hey, this has gone far enough. I am ashamed of myself for even jumping into this thread. I should have known better. No good came, or could have come, of my participation here. I don’t retract what I said (excepting the above note pointed out by RT Firefly), but it didn’t need to be said - at all. ---

Tsk, tsk. I was once chastised (and rightly so) by Tuba Diva for discussing banned posters back on the doppelganger SDMB. Her reasoning (and I’m paraphrasing a bit here, so apologize if this is oversimplified) was that such discussion attracts socks. Many of them are ever lurking. Don’t believe me? Wowzers - nice catch, **RT**. And as much as I, personally, would love to see **Satan** back, he was acting like a jerk at the time.
