I tried to visit the Straight Dope from work yesterday, only to find the admins had blocked it! I get my work done every day, but sometimes I like to surf the web during lunch. However, my workplace’s web filter is getting out of control. I did some research and found a site that can actually unblock blocked websites Link removed. Now I can get on the Straight Dope at work! 🙂 ---

Guests whose initial first post(s) mention a product or web site tend to be spammers, and we kick them out right away. In your case, this doesn’t seem to be true; however, we do frown on advising others on how to get around workplace restrictions on Internet access. That’s solely between you and your employer (or school, etc…). So, I’ve gone ahead and disabled your links; and since the topic of conversation is gone, I’ll go ahead and close this thread.
