I realize that you’re just being facetious, and don’t intend to offend, but I just wanted to say here that there’s nothing “wrong” or “unnatural” about Mailbox Love. It is a beautiful thing, no matter what some outdated and bluenosed Postal Regulation says.

Just found this response…

I guarantee he wasn’t.

I watched him slug down 2/3rd of a liter of Rum.

I was fortunate enough to be around friends when used to get drunk to the point of acting stupid. Frankly, my body just can’t handle drinking to that point, and even when I’m that far gone I’m still lucid enough to know I’m liable to embarass myself in front of strangers.

So it has never happened in public. I have a low alcohol tolerance, which makes me get drunk extremely quickly. If I have any alcohol while I feel drunk I _will_ get sick, probably throw up but definitely feel like hell the next day. Usually if I’m out at a bar or similar social event, I’ll have a beer, maybe something nonalcoholic, maybe another beer when the buzz wears away, then some water, etc etc. But if I slam down a whole pitcher at once I’ll seriously be paying for it for the next 36 hours.

And, as some people have mentioned why they don’t drink to excess, I do have a regular job. And while the job is part-time, it is really important I look my best at this job, which means I don’t want to have a hangover during work.

Ah yes, the best friend who likes to get plastered. I too have this friend.

As a matter of fact, I have stopped going places with her because of this. Hey, going out dancing and drinking and partying all night is fun in your twenties, but geez… I’m in my thirties now. I like spending quiet time at home.

It’s a shame really. She’s so much fun, even when sober. But she goes from sober to flat-out-drunk in next to nothin’ I’ve had to warn off creepy guys that try to pick her up, which pisses me off everytime. I mean, if she wasn’t so sh\*tfaced, she could do it herself. Instead, I get to worry about the creepy drunk guys. It’s not fair. ☹

Did you actually LIKE dancing and drinking and partying all night in your twenties? A lot of people don’t like it at any age and just do it because there’s nothing better to do.

I still like going out drinking and I’m 33. The thing is, I like drinking with my good friends. Guys I’ve know since high school or college or people who are just fun to hang out with. Problem is most of those people have all up and married and/or moved. Yeah, I occassionally go out with coworkers who I barely tolerate. But it’s rare now that I’m with my friends where we hang out drinking until closing (and sometimes later).
