I wonder if anyone ever turns out to be “a celebrity” in the first place, without being crush-worthy to at least a large minority. I’m not a celebrity, and as far as I can tell exactly two people ever have had a crush on me, and I suspect that those two facts are not unrelated. 🙂 ---

For the past month I’ve been making a series of desktop wallpapers for my PC, using high-res images of celebrities I like, and then filling them in to fill the aspect ratio. Most of them have not been “uncommon” or even obscure, though. I try to avoid the glamour shots, as I like the casual minimum-make-up look, but those are hard to locate at the right scale. ANyway, that’s just a round-about way to say some of the lesser known names, if not less attractive women: Alison Haislip; Beth Riesgraf; Brea Grant; Caity Lotz; Elizabeth Henstridge; Emily VanCamp; Kristen Wiig; Ksenia Solo; Michala Banas; Molly Quinn; Natalie Morales; Veronica Belmont. ---

Yes, they’re all pretty/handsome, but even among such vast throngs of very good-looking people, it seems we all have just a handful that make us go weak in the knees. It’s a different handful for everyone. And it’s not always the handful that we’re told it should be. That’s the part I find interesting. Certain celebrities, your Brad Pitts, your Julia Robertseses, are held up as the cream of the cream of the crop.
