Thanks, friends, for taking the question, ill-formed as it is, under consideration. After I have digested the comments posted, I will weigh in again with more silly attempts at clarification.
instead of a shadow cast outwards, use a light source instead (same rules.) the light source is on a vehicle moving close to the speed of light and the light is trained trained perpendicular to the direction of travel. the beam hits a vertical surface at least 45 degrees off the vehicle’s direction. the ‘dot’ on the surface marked by the light beam will move faster than the vehicle. if you trick out the angles, the vehicle doesn’t have to move very close to the speed of light to make the dot exceed SOL.
