Let me see if I got this right. Barbie knocked down the guy that killed the diner owner. He then went outside with Bunker Babe where he immediately met the armed sheriff. He told her there had been a murder but didn’t bother to tell anybody that the murderer was inside on the floor, thereby allowing him to escape. Did I miss anything? This show is getting stupider by the week, and I’m sorry I ever got sucked into it. ---

You missed that the one looter was standing just outside the door and ran off before Barbie went in, and the second guy ran out shortly after Barbie went inside. ---

Did I miss anything?\ Well, in Barbie’s defence, that guy isn’t going to go very far. 🙂 And we’re back to only Junior and Big Jim knowing what Junior has done to Angie. At least more people have seen her again, so they know she’s in the Dome somewhere. ---

I just watched that scene again. Baddie #1 left just before Barbie entered. Baddie #2 was getting up off the floor just as Barbie left through the door. Barbie saw the sheriff within five seconds of leaving but didn’t say anything about the looter still being inside. ---

Besides, the mother’s behavior was a lot more consistent with LOW blood sugar, which would NOT be treated with insulin anyway. ---

They kind of cancel each other out 😃 When the people started getting crazy in the store I was thinking there’s nothing they can do to stop it, so instead she should just start taking down names, and then have a big town meeting where she reads off the list of crazy people to shame them. It seems like now is the right time to start turning the town into some kind of commune. People could opt out, but then they can’t share any of the resources the main group have. I’m wondering if Junior is just sincerely normally concerned for Aggie, if he is messed up in a conventional way, or is messed up for the same reason as the novel. It’s too bad enforcer guy didn’t take the badge and get partnered up with Junior lol. Although I suppose now that he’s making on Julia there won’t be as much jealousy. The season finale is supposed to end on a cliffhanger. I’m really hoping they knew they were likely to get renewed when they wrote it, otherwise we risk not getting a real ending when the show finally does call it quits. ---

The first season is shaping up barely watchable, IMO. I think I’d have to either be REALLY bored or feeling very indulgent toward my husband to watch more (he seems to want to check with me on what plot elements have changed how from the book version). ---

King = Stephen King = God and Appliance = machine. Or something like that. Probably the most clever thing the show has done. ETA: Assuming it was intentional. ---

So from her perspective, it is fairly reasonable to consider herself a free woman. Barbie, on the other hand, making out with the wife of the guy he killed who doesn’t know that he killed her husband yet, not such a great idea. Oh well. ETA: I figured out how the food situation will be resolved - it will literally be manna from heaven, since they are pets in a terrarium. Something will shake a big cannister of Human Flakes over the dome. 😃 **Jackdavinci** , I don’t think the commune idea would work out. People can’t really opt out, because that would mean starving to death and it’s not likely that the rest would let that happen. They pretty much all have to be in on it, whether they want to be or not. ---

Just watched the one with the missile and said to my husband: “Angie is the stupidest character of all time, on all TV shows ever.” Dipshit finally gets freed from the dungeon and instead of running to the cop shop or the cafe or ANYWHERE that lots of people would be…she runs home. Straight into the kidnapper again. Idiot. I swear everybody on that show is a raging moron except for Barbie. ---

Have been disgusted with many TV shows, both past and present. Before I even know I’m doing it, I start picking apart a particular Piece of Stupid™ to the wife, which lessens whatever joy she might get out of watching. Tonight, watching this week’s episode (thanks, TiVo!), I actually got _angry_ and almost threw the remote. The 2 teens touch the dome at the same time, and it has a significant effect on the real world (the “interference” vanishing). Instead of taking LITERALLY a few seconds to see if the 2 events really are correlated (“You two touch the dome again like you just did, so we can see if the interference comes back. If it does, touch the dome again to see if it goes away.”), the girl throws up her hands and just wants to get back to her mom (okay, that’s understandable, but–really? Not another 30 seconds to test this out?). Neither of the two adults seem to want to test this sudden phenomenon, despite one of them being the one who came up with the way to track this interference, and the other who makes her livelihood (presumably derived from a significant portion of her personality) investigating things. Okay, the stupid has me rolling my eyes at this point, picking it apart on the spot while my wife rolls HER eyes, and THEN… …the girl who is in SUCH a frellin’ HURRY to get back to her mom DECLINES A RIDE which would in all likelihood get her there faster, if not much faster. Folks, I’m only human. I’ve watched entire runs of stupid shows before. I’m hanging in there on this one. But so much stupid packed into such a very small span of time overwhelmed me, and in my memory, is the first time I’ve ever been actually ANGRY with a show’s events. I’m sure I’ll still be watching next week, dammit. :mad: ---
