I think Christian Slater is underrated.
I happen to think John Cusack is great, but I’ve noticed that all the movies he’s in (notably The Grifters, Midnight in the Garden…, Grosse Point Blank, Thin Red Line) seem to be amazingly long and pointless. I always like the acting, am always bored with the movie.

My vote is for the late John Cazelle(sp?).
He was the weak brother in the first two “Godfathers,” the psycho partner in “Dog Day Afternoon” and the assistant in “The Conversation.”
He melted into his parts and became wallpaper. Trouble is, he melted into those parts so well that when he died most people said “Who?”
