Whenever anybody is doing something (a machine, pencil, jar that won’t open) that isn’t cooperating with them I bust out the Star Wars classic from Mos Eisley: _It doesn’t like you_ I have been using this line, mimicing the Dr. Evanzan tone, for the better part of my whole life and no one ever got it. Until 3 weeks ago. A co-worker was trying to get a machine to work, it wasn’t, I said the line and he replied: _I don’t like you either_. It absolutely made my day. ---

I find myself using this Rick Moranis line from **Parenthood** a lot: “How proud you must be.” From **Deep Throat** : “Mind if I smoke while you eat?” An underrated line from an underrated movie, **The Mystery Men** : “We have a date with destiny. And she’s ordered the lobster.” And this exchange from the incredibly beautiful **Ghost World** : Dana: I am so excited to see this movie. Dustoff Varnya is such a brilliant director. Did you see his last film, “The Flower that Drank the Moon”? It was simply glorious! Seymour: I guess I must have missed that one. But then what do I know. I like Laurel and Hardy movies. Dana: Really? I never really cared for those. I mean, why does the fat one always have to be so mean to the skinny one? ---

More lines from _Aliens_ one of my favorite movies of all time: Burke: “I expected more out of you, Ripley” Ripley: “I’m happy to disappoint you!” \*\* Burke: “It was a bad call, Ripley, a bad call.” \*\* Ripley (when she was being interrogated in the beginning by the Company): “Did IQ’s drop sharply while I was away??” \*\* Also a good one from _War Games_ The General: “We can’t just sit here waitin’ to grow tits!!” ---

Of the 385 amazing lines in _The Princess Bride_, one that I still laugh at (among many) after 40-50 viewings is: Vizzini: “Inconceivable!” Inigo: “You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.” Just the way the line is delivered makes me laugh out loud every time. ---

A couple of overlooked ones in Ghostbusters which, granted, are context sensitive: “Well, that’s what I heard!” “The flowers are still standing!” “Tell him about the twinkie…” ---

I don’t have the cite, and imdb isn’t listing quotes for the movie, but I wrote it down years ago: Kris Kristofferson was in the TV movie “Another Pair of Aces: Three of a Kind,” and a character (Kristofferson’s?
