Okay, based on the experiences here going both ways maybe the real problem is just changing the names. You learn what the room is called and then they change it so you have to rebuild your mental map.
I’ve worked in both named and number meeting room environments. I find you can get used to both. I’m somewhat partial to numbered conference rooms because if you don’t happen to know which room you are going to, at least you can figure it out.
