For more than a year, I haven’t been on the same birth control pill formulation for more than three months running, and I’ve had spotting, breakthrough bleeding, periods that last twelve days (for _five months running_, for the love of God!) and no end of inconvenient, erratic, and unexpected bleeding. _All_ my underpants are “period” underpants. I occasionally try to bleach the bejeezus out of the worst ones, with mixed results, but generally I’ve given up. They do their job; they don’t have to look pretty, 'cause heaven knows the hubby don’t care! ---

Joke: Female artist is losing her sight. Being an artist, she naturally lacks health insurance ;), but at last she finds a doctor who will perform surgery on her at a reduced rate. Newly restored to 20/20 vision, she offers to paint a mural in the waiting room of his office as a token of her gratitude. He accepts, and comes in Monday morning to find eyes of all colors, shapes and sizes confronting him from the walls. “What do you think?” “I think I’m glad I’m not a gynecologist!” ---
