Whilst prepping for Boy Scout camping trips, I pack one with good, dry tinder. I slap a piece of Saran Wrap over the top and snap on the lid.

An emergency stash of dry tinder comes in very handy on damp camping trips.

Like **Silver Tyger Girl** says, you’re not supposed to fit the _entire serving_ into the film canister. Rather, you use the canister to measure the diameter of a bundle of spaghetti by slipping the end over it.

Me, I just use my hand. Make a circle with your thumb and forefinger exactly like you’re… uh… like you’re gripping your… um… golf club. Yeah, that’s it.
