A guy in high school who I had a major thing for told me I reminded him of Hannibal Lecter. I was very quiet and seld-possessed (still am), and everyone thought I was scary-smart, so I _think_ it was meant as a compliment. Maybe. ---

I guess if I’d been quicker on my feet I could’ve asked why they knew so much about figure skating. 😉 Anyway that was a long time ago and I have very short hair these days. As an adult, I don’t get a lot of celebrity comparisons, flattering or otherwise. Kinda sucks when we do the quarterly “who would play you in a movie” thread. ---

I was at a barbecue this summer and was shootin’ the shit with some guy who I’d never met before and he said, "Do you ever watch _Deadliest Catch_? “Yeah, all the time,” says I, “I love that show.” “You look just like Captain Phil!” “Oh, the fat, chain-smoking alcoholic who never shaves? Great. Thanks.” And the bitch of it is, a few weeks later I was at a friends house and his 9 year old daughter out of no where says, “You look just like Captain Phil on _Deadliest Catch_.” So I shot her. _(I don’t smoke and I’m not fat … I offer no disclaimers on the “alcoholic who never shaves” thing._) ---

I’ve posted this before, but I was standing at a urinal, when a co-worker told me that I looked like that guy in Cheap Trick. At a loss for words (I’m not exactly Robin Zander material) he said “You know…the Drummer!”. Uhh…thanks? ---
