There’s an old cemetery near where my parents live in suburban Atlanta (once attached to a former Primitive Baptist church) with a grave for a woman whose first name was “Armadillo”. ---

My favorite is [Amanda Miranda Panda](http://metro.co.uk/2014/12/03/woman-named-amanda-miranda-panda-is-arrested-for-shoplifting-4972441/), who achieved worldwide fame after her arrest in 2014. I imagine that years of teasing drove her to a life of crime. ---

Not all that long ago, I became aware of a town in Idaho called [Dickshooter](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dickshooter,_Idaho). It was named after a pioneer settler named Dick Shooter. Not someone you’d want to go up against in a gunfight. ---

Just saw that a friend of a FB friend is named _ShyAnn_ - I’m guessing either her parents couldn’t spell Cheyenne or she’s just being cutesy. Considering the part of the country, I’m going with couldn’t spell. I hope I’m wrong and just being terribly judgemental… ---

There’s a doctors office I’ve seen ‘Dedman and Livingston clinic’. I had a dentist Dr. Pane. When I was single my initials were B.M. now they are B.S.~shitty anyway you look at it. ---

Thirty years ago, in the Smithsonian magazine, there was an article talking about the 100th anniversary of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s first Sherlock Holmes story. One man pictured in the article was actually named Sherlock Holmes. His mother was a fan of the stories. Guy said he figured he’d either have to learn to deal with it, or hate his name.
