I knew a family with the surname “Breasted”. And there are a lot of “Outhouses” around, though I believe they pronounce it “Oh-too-sey”. And may I introduce you to the Cambodian (or is it Laotian) Phuc family? ---

I was in the Navy with both Richard Tate and Richard Lipp. And yes, a guy named Mike Hunt. It’s actually a common name. ---

There’s an editor at marvel that’s called: Pornsak Pichetshote Man, if that guy grew up in an English speaking country, he must not look back to his childhood with any bit of nostalgia. You cant even cut the name short to make it more palatable. ---

I used to study martial arts with a pair of Vietnamese brothers named Dung and Dong. They were two quick and vicious little bastards, so any grief they got was probably pretty short lived. ---

I know a guy with the last name Crapp. His nickname (which he tells everyone he meets) is “Crapper”. Might as well embrace it, I suppose. Then there’s [this former Eastern Illinois football player](http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/player/profile?playerId=148900). I’m sure he pronounces it differently than it looks. ---

As part of a job I had to ask a student what her instructor’s number was. She said “I don’t know what Dick Holder’s number is.” I thought it was some new kind of insult but later learned that the instructor was indeed named Richard Holder. ---
