I have an ancestor who was a physician named Dr. Bonebrake. And I went to second grade with triplet sisters named Nina, Pinta, and Maria. ---

I went to high school with a girl named Karla Hidy (HI-dee). Not so unfortunate, you say? Her older sister’s first name was Heidi. I always wondered what her parents were thinking. ---

A family in our neighborhood was named Fuchs (“Fyooks”) Oh and my best friend’s name is Ginger. Her sister’s name is Ginny. Not as bad as some, but I do wonder what their parents were thinking. ---

In a small town near where I grew up there were two old-time families that had been there since pioneer times. They owned a lot of property and one saw their names everywhere…on businesses, on road signs, in the local paper. The Glasscocks and the Hollopeters. ---

When Mrs M was in for her second Caesarian, the nurse who came to prep her wore a name badge which she saw me peeking at and said “Yes, really”. I leave it to women who have had Caesarians to pronounce on whether they would be cheered to see they were to be attended by a nurse named “Cruella”. 😃 ---
