If the whole of humanity had to wear a uniform of some sort, what would be best? What could you bear to wear day in day out, and what could you bear to see everyone else wearing? What would look smart but glamorous in an intergalactic league of planets conference? Slight variations for environment, activity, gender etc allowed, but essentially we are all dressed like a giant set of sep-billion-tuplets. Futuristic silver jumpsuits? Blazer and slacks/skirt like the (old-fashioned) olympic parade? Swishy robes? Or only the skins of animals you have slain yourself? ---

[Mao suit](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mao_suit) Partially because I think it’s practical and would work with a variety of body shapes while still looking OK, and partially because it would annoy the shit out of right-wingers. ---

So I guess my vision of thongs and tube tops is not likely to win acclaim?? I don’t see how we can fight Hollywood - the future is full of jumpsuits. Fortunately, in the future, all bodies are perfect for jumpsuits. There will be no Michelin Man clones in the future. ---
