I can’t match these. My favorite out-of-the-ordinary combination is cottage cheese slathered with black pepper. My brother puts salt on watermelon. My sister spreads margarine on hamburger patties. ---

Canned pear halves with Miracle Whip dolloped on them (that’s my mom’s) Grilled cheese with fried bologna, a fried egg, pickles and ketchup (that’s my dad’s) I think both are gross. ---

I make peanut butter (the natural, unsweetened kind) with cold cuts sandwiches all the time. Sometimes I do peanut butter & sliced serranos, or peanut butter and hot pepper flakes. It works with the sweetened stuff (like Skippy) as well, but I prefer the sugarless varieties. Peanuts go well with savory dishes (and they are used in this way in African and Asian cuisines, if not exactly in this manner.) ---

I don’t go to McDonald’s too often any longer, but when I do, I like to dip my french fries in sweet and sour sauce or honey (occasionally both). But that’s not that weird. Probably not as weird as my penchant for sugaring my poached eggs or soy saucing my fried ones. But my favorite unique food combination has to be the [chocolate covered bacon](http://www.mariniscandies.com/product/BACON-01/ChocolateCoveredBacon.aspx) made right by my apartment in Santa Cruz. Marini’s also has an ice cream flavor called “The Vegan’s Nightmare”, which is maple syrup-flavored ice cream with chocolate-covered bacon bits inside. I tried it. And it definitely tasted like chocolate-covered bacon. That’s all I’m going to say about it. ---

Grilled cheese sandwiches must be accompanied by either dill pickles (on the sandwich), or ketchup (as a dip). But not both. ---

When I was a young boy, my father…oops, I mean, I also loved to dip my McD fries in honey. – Plums with sharp cheese spread on them. If you like cherry pie with cheddar cheese on it you should try it, same combo of flavors. ---
