The alleged killer has a Youtube channel with a video set to show in 45 minutes. Or at least someone claiming to be him does. Not sure if I’m allowed to post the link? ---

This is a guy who seemed to have a lot going for him… high-school valedictorian, Ivy League education, family wealth. It’s kind of odd to square him with a health insurance CEO assassination. Curious to see what his real motivations were. ---

His youtube channel has been suspended so we won’t get to see the video. An earlier video was there that started out something like “if you can see this, I have been arrested” and then a countdown. Must have been on a deadman’s switch. ---

In one sense, clearly yes, by definition. Normal people don’t go around assassinating the CEOs of companies they don’t like. But insanity as a legal defense is a much higher bar by design, and though his lawyers might try it for lack of any other defense strategy, there’s no way this will fly. ---

I gotta say, i’m disappointed. I figured someone who had lost a significant loved one; possibility a spouse, probably a child. But it seems like he’s just a radicalized kook. ---
