Unreasonable neighbor - what would you do?

Except the 20,000 members of this message board.

Seriously, is he single? She’s divorced - maybe they’d hit it off and have to buy a bigger house to live in? They seem made for each other.

Moderator’s note:

Knock it off, Opal, and take about three long steps back, right now.

You’re no newbie. You know better than to pull this.

Since your anger got the better of your sense and manners, I’ll spell it out for you. You will not spew obscenities at other posters in IMHO. Consider yourself warned.

TVeblen,

Moderator’s note:

And the same goes for you, senor. You seem to like spewing bile right and obscenities right and left but you will NOT do it in IMHO..

Seems to me you’ve been warned about your behavior before, and believe me, we’ll be checking. But on the chance my memory is faulty, you are well and truly warned now.

Oh, and she didn’t sign for the package. It just said “Left at door” on the tracking. Since it wasn’t at my door when I got home and they didn’t ring my doorbell, and since last time Airborne delivered a package they took it to the next door neighbor’s house (our addresses are a little hard to see), and since there was dew on the package when I found it, I’m actually assuming that it was delivered to her and thrown over. It’s a pretty educated assumption, though.

By the way, it was a bathing suit, so no harm no foul. Just one more little notch on the score sheet.

Maybe you could call around and price moving the tree a few feet over. More expensive but then you keep the tree and no longer need contact with this woman(i.e. trim updates whenever the wind blows). Maybe the owner’s association will help pay for it to make the property divisions more distinct.

Also this way you can hold your ace(brick wall) up your sleeve.

Any updates C3?

I’m just amazed at everyone who wants to escalate this thing even further. For the love of pete, the last thing you want to do is tick off an unstable person. C3, I think you’re doing fine. Trim the tree and then wash your hands of the neighbor. You’ve taken the high road.

BTW, a bunch of our neighbors have cats but I’ve never had a problem with them. In fact a few of them come up for a courtesy scritch whenever we’re outside. Which galls Buddy the Beagle to no end. They might walk on my car on occasion, but it’s no worse than bird poop. Sometimes life isn’t perfect. Accept it and moooove on.

Nothing today. I’m going out of town tomorrow for a week (have a great week, everyone!) and hopefully, the tree guys will come while I’m gone and the whole thing will be settled by the time I get back. I’ll let you all know if there’s any more drama.

I’ll buy it* I enjoy ticking annoying people off!
