I’m convinced **Unregistered Bull** is a bot. No matter what you say, you’ll get the same “Zero sum! Zero sum! If you help an animal you think they’re more important than humans! Zero sum! You’re diverting resources from humans! Zero sum!” response. It HAS to be a script. The bot script is on auto-pilot now, too, and trolling in other unrelated threads. ---

Why do you care? Really, why do you care about his opinion? He’s not going to change it, no matter what you do - he sticks to his guns. I want to start a campaign where we all completely ignore **UB** …he causes a great deal of trouble on this board, and it will only be derailed if we let it. Ignore him. ---

As sometimes happens, people who are brimming over with compassion - for animals - don’t always extend that compassion to people they dislike. And those folks are **not** spending 100% of their time working on disaster relief. If **pinkfreud** ’s husband is using his van to benefit animals, and that use would otherwise be wasted, he is doing a kindness. If there is some reasonable way he could make the same use benefit humans, then he is wrong, to that extent. I’m willing to give Mr. **pinkfreud** the benefit of the doubt, which may be where I differ from **UB**. And animal welfare is not particularly one of my hot buttons, so that may be where I differ from most other Dopers, at least in this thread. As in, “You’re going to try to help the people hurt by Katrina? That’s **wonderful**! And you’re going to bring back a load of pets on the way back?
