# Unresponsive script errors

For the last week or so I’ve been constantly (a few times an hour) getting the following error message on this site, and this site only.

This is using Firefox. Any thoughts? It’s frustrating, but doesn’t seem to cause any problems if I chose any of the options. There’s also a box for “Don’t show me this again” but of course that doesn’t seem to work.
(The URL isn’t hyperlinked in the error message, and I have no idea how to turn off the hyperlink here, apart from adding superfluous spaces.)
Is anyone else seeing this?

I am, just for the last week or so. Often when I open a thread I can’t begin to scroll down for several seconds. If I persist in trying to scroll, I get that error message. I am also using Firefox.

It’s an ad-generating site. If you use the AdBlock Plus add-on for Firefox you shouldn’t have a problem.

I use AdblockPlus as well as NoScript. I have NoScript set so that it allows the SDMB, but not much else (just a few other web sites that need scripts in order to function properly).
If you block scripts on the SDMB, it breaks things like your pop-up notification if you get a PM and certain editing functions and a few other mostly minor things.
I haven’t been experiencing any sort of script error here.

You can also try opting out of Viglink here: [Privacy Center - Sovrn, Inc.](http://www.viglink.com/opt-out/). I’m not sure if that will prevent the scripts from running, but it’s worth a try.

I’ve not seen this, and I don’t have AdBlock anymore. It was making my computer run screwy.

I, too, have noticed this issue quite a few times over last 4-5 days or so. Firefox with AdBlock Plus, fwiw.

It would make more sense for you to put \*.viglink.com on your block list.
