What’s the date that these records are supposedly going to be unearthed? Will it happen? Is it going to turn out to be similar to Geraldo’s Al Capone’s Vault fiasco?

Which Kennedy files are you referring to? Many have already been released to the public. So far it’s basically been Geraldo’s vault all over again. Nothing new inside.

As **engineer** says, which files are you referring to?

The bulk of the remaining papers relating to the assassination were opened following the [Kennedy Assassination Records Review Board report](http://www.archives.gov/research_room/jfk/assassination_records_review_board/arrb_report.html) in 1998. For the conspiracy theorists, the argument is now not so much about what records are closed but about what records they want to believe the US government has never admitted possessing.

His [presidential papers](http://www.jfklibrary.org/f_aids2.htm) are accessible on the same basis as any other official papers. The [JFK Library website](http://www.jfklibrary.org/pre_p1.htm) also discusses which of his private papers remain closed and why.
