Sun Drop tastes like a mixture of Mountain Dew and ginger ale. To me. Good stuff. ---

A bunch of Taco Bell locations in the San Jose area have Manzanita Sol apple-flavored soda. Wikipedia says it’s owned by Pepsi, but whatever. It was a refreshing change from any of the eighteen colors of Mountain Dew that all taste the same. Occasionally I’ll make myself a “Suicide,” which is a little of every fountain offering a machine has. ---

I’ve seen a few places in my area that have [Loganberry](http://67.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_kv6a19grNs1qzp5buo1_1280.jpg) on tap. It’s a regional soda that has a blackberry/raspberry flavor. ---

Always happy when Barq’s Root Beer shows up as a fountain drink. Probably not that rare, but the few times I’ve ordered a soda recently I haven’t seen it. ---

Barq’s Red Creme Soda is in the soda fountain at the snack bar of Starved Rock State Park, alongside other (more common) Coke products. Only place I’ve ever seen it. ---

Only time I seen that was in a coke machine in a Texas bus stop about 1996 (and I promptly emptied the machine to the tune of 10 bucks) In fact that was the only time I ever had barqs before coke bought it was in greyhound bus stops … was always in the coke machines because they didn’t sell it in ca it was back when bart simpson was its mascot and they had wacky promotions like you could buy cccp military medals and goofy stuff like that and it was on mtv every 3rd commercial there is a place that has big red in the fountain and that is a sort of red cream soda ---

OOPs meant the barqs red cream soda … But even in coke fountains Normal barqs is rare theres only like 3 places in town and one of them switched to to mr pibb and its rare to find it in the 20 oz bottles here in ca ---

Just about every fountain in Lubbock, Texas has Big Red on tap. Tastes like a melted gumball. Too sweet for me. ---

Mr. Pibb/Pibb X-tra are practically unheard of in southern California. The only places I see it anymore are at Del Taco and some movie theaters. I’ve never seen it in cans or bottles. 7-Eleven and In-N-Out Burger are the only places I see 7-Up in fountain form these days. The Coke [soda bots](http://s3-media3.ak.yelpcdn.com/bphoto/6BvfCli8oEXUQkWMeOC3BQ/l.jpg) at some places have Mello Yello and Seagrams Ginger Ale, which aren’t all that common at fountains around here, along with several flavors you can add to them. ---

I believe that Jason’s Deli serves Barq’s root beer in the fountain. They certainly serve _a_ root beer, because the first thing I get there (before I’ve even gotten my lunch) is always a root beer float, since they have free ice cream. ---

A barbecue place near here has Boylan soda. It uses cane sugar, very nice. ---
