“Who are you who are so wise in the ways of crop circles?”
That’s actually a sculpture.
OK, I tried the first of these: guys in scuba gear walking in the street, blurred out until you mouse over the right spot.
Then I tried the second, which took me to a map of a highway in New Mexico. When I went into street view there I found myself back on the Norwegian Street with the scuba guys.
A second try on the New Mexico coordinates, when I put the little street view man on the green arrow instead of the orange teardrop, got me a slightly different view of the Norwegian Street (at least, I suppose it is in Norway, I am starting to doubt Google’s truthfulness now), but the guys in scuba gear were now sitting in folding chairs by the roadside.
I gather from postcards’ post, that what I am supposed to see at the second coordinates is a (fake) Prada outlet in the middle of the New Mexico dessert, but my street view is stuck in suburban Norway. What gives?
Over a year ago, I was in Las Vegas, waiting outside the Neon Graveyard, when I saw one of the street camera cars drive by. I waved at it, assuming it was a Google Streets car. Sadly, it turned out to be just for Bing Maps. But I’m there, on Bing Street Maps!
