I was in The Yukon on the weekend and I saw a bear crossing the road in the distance one day and a fox kit crossing the road another day. Perfectly normal for there, but I’m a city kid from Ontario so it was very exciting for me. ---

I watched my odometer turn over to 150,000 miles. My mechanic says it could have another 150k in 'er. People are right: Go Honda. ---

Just a few minutes ago I was walking through the lobby at work and saw a roadrunner walk past the front door with a dead lizard in its beak, although that kind of thing isn’t really all that unusual here in New Mexico. ---

I noticed a concrete statue on a private lawn with a non-statue dress on. Like someone went out there and put a dress on a statue. A red dress. A month or so ago I was at AT&T park in San Francisco, and watched about 200 naked people ride by on bicycles. I had a great vantage point from a second floor balcony to watch these folks cruise on up The Embarcadero towards the tourist areas. 😃 ---

Yesterday in the liberry I saw a young woman wearing, head to toe: A headband across her forehead which connected in some obscure way to five or six narrow hair rollers at the back of her head. A very tight white tank top, tied in a knot at the hip. Skintight shorts that said EVERLAST up the leg Legs cut off a pair of jeans and tied onto her calves sort of like… denim legwarmers? Or puttees? Lime green flip flops A rude as hell attitude ---

Last night, when I got to work, there was a group of people standing on the sidewalk, chatting. All dressed normally, except for the one woman wearing a banana costume. Nearby was a man wearing a Hooters waitress outfit, wearing a pair of headphones, dancing like one of those “Kung Fu Fighting” hamster toys. A few minutes later, as I was wrapping up my preliminary managerial tasks, I was paged over my radio to see if we had any more 88-cent pregnancy tests. Took them up to the registers, where I handed them to a grateful elderly nun. ---

I went to get a haircut and beard trim last night at my favorite cuttery. They use a sign up sheet at the desk to keep track of customer order - write your first name and service(s) requested. I walked up to the desk, grabbed the pen and noticed that the last entry on the sheet was my first name requesting a HC/BT (hair cut/beard trim). I had to stop and think if I had already signed in (“But I just got here!” was my internal counter argument), called ahead (“Do they even do that?” I internally argued) or was in some kind of cosmic vortex. I decided on the latter and just wrote ditto marks on the next line. ---

The other day I saw two rabbits playing leap-bunny in the road (not THAT kind of leap-bunny!). One bunny would stand still while the other bunny ran at it at full speed then bunny 1 would leap straight up in the air so bunny 2 would run under/past it. They did that 5 or 6 times, then traded places with bunny 1 doing the running and bunny 2 leaping out of the way. After about 5 minutes of this, they must have gotten tired and retired to the lawn for a snack of nice, green grass. It was the cutest thing I’d seen al day. ---

I was at Target the other day, buying stuff like waxpaper and a trash can, and I saw this chick come in wearing full length leggings, a trenchcoat, and a big scarf over her head with sunglasses. [Very much an Audrey Hepburn in “Charade” kind of look.](https://www.pinterest.com/pin/116530709080667140/) Not too weird, except that it was sunny, super-humid and about 98 degrees out. That girl had to be cooking in that get-up. ---

Not recently actually but at my old place. I was driving home at 10PM or so. I saw an older woman out walking her dog. She was wearing a huge purple ball gown. I’m not sure on dress names but this was one of the Cinderella-at-the-ball dresses, From neck to ground lots of ornamentation and frill and things, and poofy and sweeping on the legs part. It looked unbearably hot and heavy for the hot humid summer, even at 10. “Unusual” I thought, “But maybe she was at a really fancy wedding, got home late and had a dog too desperate to wait for a clothes change.” I saw her a couple weeks later in the same gown. “Hmm”, I reasoned, " Maybe she is taking a dance class after work. Desperate dog still works" I saw her two days later, then the day after that again. “Maybe she is in a play and that is her costume?” The next day I had to go out at 6:30 AM, and there she was on a different street miles away with a different dog. “Ok, I’m out of excuses for her, this is a freakin’ crazy woman” ---

Does someone putting transactions totaling $10,000 on a business credit card at a strip club in one day count? I suppose it’s probably par for the course if you work at a strip club, but for lowly accountants like me, it sure seems unusual. ---
