# Unusual thread behavior

[This](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=336847) thread about the HBO series Rome is acting oddly for me. According to the forum listing, the last post is number 48 by **Sampiro**. But when I go to the thread, the last post is by \*\*ISiddiqui \*\* and is number 50. Also, I see a link to a page 2, but clicking on that link brings me back to the first page of the thread. When I tried to look at the thread from another browser connected as Guest, I only see one page, but the forum listing still says the last post is number 48 by **Sampiro**.

Does this thread act oddly for anyone else?

I’m getting the same thing. You can view **Sampiro’s** post by hitting the “reply” button. Maybe another post will make the 2nd page accessible?

I see the same thing you see. I tried it as a guest in Opera and IE.

I got the same thing also. I viewed the second page by changing pp=50 to pp=40 in the URL, which reduces the thread view from 50 posts per page to 40, thus rearranging the page count.

Not the thread referenced in the OP, but I had this issue yesterday with a different thread. I had an ATMB post all typed up, then decided no one would care, so I deleted it.

And, in the thread I had problems with, the issue went away when reply #52 was posted.
