# Unwaxed dental floss

Dentists recommend it. I prefer it. Why can’t I buy it any more? They have 37different sizes/shapes/flavors of waxed floss, but can’t be bothered to stock one peg with the unwaxed stuff? I have tried Wal-Mart, Target, Ralphs, Vons, Albertsons, etc. WTF?

Man, I am NOT going to buy freaking dental floss online. That’s just insane. As to whether it is more or less effective, I don’t care. I just prefer it. One article mentioned the “squeak”. Maybe that’s what I am after. I’ll try Walgreens, as I see they are selling it online. I am sure I can get it, my point is more WHY has it gone so out of favor that most stores don’t even bother stocking it.

It’s incredibly painful and makes an already odious chore absolutely impossible.

When I can bear to do it at all, I go for waxed tape.
