Dunno, Clothy. Response times for me have been generally quite good lately. There may be some other bottleneck between you and the SDMB. How’s your browsing in other places around the 'Net? ---

I have no problems at all elsewhere. I can try to open a page on SDMB, sit and wait for a while, then go over and root around on Delphi or Yahoo Groups and have the pages open with minimal delay, then come back to the Server Not Found error on SDMB. It took me three attempts to get past the SNF error to post this reply today. ---

When is this happening? Although response times have generally been good for me, I still notice a slowdown when many people might conceivably be accessing the board at once (lunchtime in the eastern and central U.S., for instance). ---

[/QUOTE] Various times during the day. And randomly. For example, I have yet to have an SNF error on the board this morning. Operative word there is yet… ---

FWIW The board was timing out on me quite a bit last night. Around 9-11pm GMT. I also have noticed it being unresponsive more than it usually is of late. ---

The board has been sucking for me lately too. I have no issues with other sites. I time out alot accessing the straight dope boards.
