I have responded to several FB friend requests. Did I miss any Mumpers? I get friend-o requests from randos all the time - it comes along with selling, well, anything, publicly. But I don’t wanna miss any legit requests! New Friends, you now get to see All The Pics. My other Shoe is in there somewhere, along with many kittehs, past and present, and an embarrassing amount of “I cooked a thing!” wannabe-foodie pics. ---

I use YouTube sometimes for music. Search “jazz piano for study,” and you’ll get a loooong stretch of really great super-chilled solo piano music to provide the soundtrack for your day. I’m not sure how long it goes on… some are two hours and others may be more. ---

**metal mouse** , I have a Coolpix 4.0 that I get out of the box from time to time when I want to take better pictures than with the phone, but not as good as with the old school Nikon film camera. Skritches to Gordie! There are a bunch of cute kittehs, ratties and a snake. 🙂 **shoe** and **hippy** , I’ve sent friend requests too. 🙂 Irked, came home, walked the dog, et and am fixing to do KP. One more day and I’m off for a 4 day weekend! Yay! SIL is coming down for tea Saturday afternoon and I’ll go to a socially distanced backyard concert Sunday evening, but otherwise, just a few chores to do around the house, including picking up the sticks left in the yard from the storm. I picked up the branches that landed on the walkway last night when I took Nelson out so’s that my elderly neighbor wouldn’t trip when he left for treatment this morning. After nappage, I went over to the soccer fields and took a walk. Nice seeing the -5 and -6 years old out and running around. After walkage I got a Subway Sammich and finished my jumbles and sudokus for the day. All in all not a bad day at all. Now for some internettin’ and readin’ for the balance of the night… ---

Here’s a random question for you: what happened to quarts of milk? You can get quarts of buttermilk and half-and-half. You can get 12 oz. bottles of milk. You can get half gallons of milk. The only quarts I’ve seen around here are a few pricy brands like Serenity Farms Organic Milk from Meditating Cows. I seldom buy cows’ milk these days, but when I do, I can’t find quarts. I’m going to be the rebel here. Unless the brownies are extraordinarily moist (and not a box type), a thin layer of glaze (not frosting) á la Laura Brody, chef, cookbook author extraordinaire, is a game-changer. A cake-like brownie with no glaze or frosting is like pound cake: nice, but boring. OK, I’ll show myself out. ---

Just say no to cake-like brownies. They must be chewy and gooey. Period. Ziva is finally out of our room. As I lay in bed with my tablet, I saw her exit, so I hopped up and shut the door. She needs to find a new hiding place now. Next week, she can go in the basement if she wants. I figure she was pretty hungry. So now she can eat and drink and stuff. And we can keep the door closed again. Yay. And tonight, I sleep with Mel. ---

This “Mel” character must be one snuggly sandman. I envy you the ability to succumb to something so … ah … I mean, it’s no “several tequila shots.” I hope nobody’s upset by the Pretzel photo. I know snakes aren’t everyone’s cuppa tea an’ all, and I think it requires a click to see the actual serpent. Ditto the ratties. They’re rodents, not everyone thinks they have _cute widdle handsies_ and big Disney eyes. ---

Oh, jeebus, as I was reading and posting, Monkey hopped into my lap / what’s left of papasan space, flipped himself upside-down, and has … _checks breathing_ … yes, still alive, not dead yet … passed out absolutely cold but still purring like a damn H-D motorcycle, with all of his long-ass legs shoved unceremoniously against my butt. That flutter in The Force one might have felt just now was merely the strength of Teh Cuteness purring long-leggedly into the darkness. ---

No sugar in cornbread. Heaven save me from sweet, fluffy cornbread. I drizzle the Laura Brody glaze on brownies. They’ve always been a huge hit. ---
