Update me every hour!--how long are the lines at your polling place?

I voted today. They moved my polling place to the nature center at a big county park. There were political signs out side the entrance to the park, so I knew I was in the right place but they didn’t do a very good job of directing you to the actual voting. I drove through the gates and there was a parking lot full of cars but that was all people there to hike the trails. I started to park there but saw a road leading into the woods and decided that looked like the more likely path. I drove up to the nature center and as I got closer it was apparent that was the place. I parked, walked in and was immediately seated at a desk where I presented my ID, verified my address and was directed to the white chairs where I was to await further instruction. Before I got to the chairs I was intercepted by a poll worker who escorted me to a voting machine and she instructed me on how to use it. I cast my vote and was walking out to my car in less than 10 minutes. Lots of people there to vote but everything was moving really fast.

Got home a few hours ago from a day as an Election Judge in south Minneapolis, MN.

Tremendous turnout – 94% of our residents voted.
But actually a light day for us poll workers, because 72% of them had already voted early. We were all done, everything packed up, all records audited & balanced, and at least 4 judges signed off on every check, and all done in 45 minutes. One of the earliest nights ever.
