The ability to fix my pants has always been appreciated by this person but it is AWESOME that Mr. Shoe can fix his own now. Congratulations! ---

WOOT!!! Grabs Lucky the cat and dances him all over while throwing glitter and stuff. Such good news, I’m so happy for both of you. ( **teela brown** , I agree with **Cheez\_Whia**. Get some Mosquito Dunks and don’t be shy about using them. They say they last for a month, but I used to toss them into my CNL’s pool every weekend.) While Bill was recovering, the one thing that pissed him off the most was the pants thing. Now TOS is in control of his own pants!!! Whoo Hoo!!! ---

I’ve been outside my own house unlocking the door and could hear through the wood/windows him cursing & swearing & yelling … get inside all frightened that he fell or something and … pants aren’t quite right, and haven’t been for a while, and it’s frustrated him beyond any reasoning. Seriously, people. Never EVER take for granted the ability to scratch your own nose, and to pull your pants to where they should be. ---

YAAAAAAY! This is the best news I’ve heard in ages. Onward to continued improvement! Yes, the pants and nose thing: in 2010, I had frozen shoulder on both sides. I could barely reach slightly behind me, and in front, could raise my arms no higher than about sternum level. Even side-zip slacks were an impossibility. After painful physical therapy I could once again do these simple things and now, three years later, I still smile thankfully when I can reach behind me to scratch my back or vanquish a wedgie. ---

I am so, so happy for the good news. My husband and I have talked about how brave (for want of a better word) ther two of you have been. Many people would have just given up and become completely dependant. **Othershoe** has proved that with determination, a lot is possible. ---

Meant to say earlier, and then totally forgot: he applied for SS Disability this week. Sort of a sign of resigning himself to his current situation, I suppose. And yes, having wandered into threads about it here years ago, we are fully prepared for the idea that he’ll be denied. At least at first. After having wheeled himself _in a wheelchair_ (got it? missed that part?) into the SS office in the first place, hospital bills & paperwork in hand. GAH!! Anyway, for those of you still sticking around, thanks for reading and thanks for caring. Means a lot. ---

Anyway - glad to hear he’s doing so much better (and I hope like hell the SS folks don’t deny him!!!). Laughing at the cats and wheelchair thing. Many years ago, before my lungs told me “it’s us or the cats. And if you choose the cats, we WILL kill you”, we had two overlords. The owner of the vet practice we took them to was in a wheelchair. We’d seen others there, but the first time we happened to see the guy in the wheelchair, the cat (who was otherwise the most laid-back beast you could dream of) took one look, his eyes got that OMIGODOHSHITOSHITOSHIT expression, and he backed away in sheer terror.
