Does anyone mind if I show off pictures of my cats? The young one named Tommy was born feral, I adopted him out, then the folks who took him brought him back. I’ve fallen in love and will keep him. I’m also going to rename him, as I always wanted to name a cat Attila. Tobermory was also abandoned, at a little under three years, he’s over eleven now. **Baker** , great looking cats! Tommy is a cutie; I don’t know how you could ever try to adopt him out. **Silenus** , they do grow bigger and out of places, but do they still curl up together? And **Sunspace** , yes, you do need a cat. The cat will give you a good excuse to get the camera! We “introduced” Fiona to Stripe last night. I’m using the scary quotes, because they didn’t really meet–Fiona came down to the basement though, with us, when we watched TV. Stripe was hiding under the sofa bed. We chose Fiona for this little experiment, as she knows Stripe from his backyard days, when she and he would look at each other through the patio door, and paw at the glass at each other. She also has a very calm demeanour; very little bothers her, and if Stripe got upset, she’d just say the cat equivalent of “meh” and move on. As things went, there was no problem. Fiona noticed that something was diferent, and spent a great deal of time sniffing around Stripe’s carrier bed, litter box, and food and water bowl. She had a little snack, then used the litter box. Eventually, she located Stripe under the sofa bed, but we wouldn’t let her get too close. Each knew the other was there though. After a while, Fiona decided that if he wasn’t going to come out to say hello to her, then she wanted to play, and meowed for me to play with her. Which I did (even as an adult, she likes to chase and pounce on a ball, just like a kitten). Fiona didn’t stay down there; we brought her up with us when we turned off the lights and the TV. But at least Stripe got to “meet” one of his future friends, and hopefully, he can understand that that we’re not scary humans if Fiona talks to us and we respond by playing with her. ---
