I am so scared, you guys. @jz78817 is my brother. I’ve been here longer, but he’s posted more than I have (and has contributed way more, IMO). I last talked to him Monday night via text. My mom was concerned because she didn’t hear from him/he hadn’t replied to her texts at all on Wednesday (possibly Tuesday as well). His truck is parked outside his condo and she called the local PD to do a wellness check. He’s not there but his phones and computers are gone. I’m not sure how she was initially told this or by who, but she had been told the FBI took him, so the PD said that if she couldn’t find anything out by the next day (today) to file a missing persons report. She filed it today and the PD contacted the FBI themselves and … they never took him. So we don’t know where he is. I know that he’s talked with other metro Detroit dopers, like @Balthisar. My mom is waiting outside his condo for the landlord to either bring the key or call a locksmith to go back in and look. But I’m so scared and I don’t know what to do and I didn’t know if anyone could help at all, or had any information on him or talked to him more recently than Monday at 8:30pm. ---

They can ping his phones if they are still on and if the FBI gets involved, they can do it even if the phone is off, unless the battery gets removed. I am sorry for what you and your family are going through, I hope it has a happy conclusion. ---
