We have a tape of an old family member, but the tape has broken from one of the reels. My son tried to fix it, but was unable to on the original cassette and has transferred it to a new one. Are there companies that specialize in cassette repair? In addition, are there companies that could transfer the tape to a CD? Thank you. ---

If you have a cassette player and the correct cable, you can transfer the tape to your computer and transfer it to CD yourself. Get [Audacity](http://audacity.sourceforge.net/) to edit and clean up the original track. ---

If you can get me a _copy_ of the tape, I’ll be happy to do this for you. I’ve got some free time coming up in the next few weeks, and this is really not that big a deal. E-mail me at pettirossa at gmail dot com. Robin
