paint still is in WIndows 10 - just search for paint or mspaint.
Ditto- notepad is still there for text, and Wordpad for elementary Rich Text Format files. When in doubt, search for them.
IIRC there’s a registry tweak to add back Photo Viewer if Photo is not to your liking.
IE is also still there although the default is Edge. Download Chrome anyway.
I like to search for “snipping tool” on a new system and pin to the taskbar.
Search for “default” and select “default app for each type of file”. This allows you to determine the default program for opening each file type (assuming, like me, you prefer to enable view of file type extensions)
One complication - download Adobe Reader; and change to make it the default PDF viewer. By default it’s Edge, which does not handle some more complex PDF features (like “fill in the form”).
I suggest you download Chrome for internet browsing. Many websites don’t work with IE nowadays.
Window key + shift + S
Once I got used to it, I love the snipping tool for quick screenshots for explanations.
