Is it me or does MPSIMS seem to be down more often than any of the other forums? Presently, I can access every other forum save MPSIMS. [Seinfeld] What’s up with that? Well, I have my own thread about this in “About The Board,” but I guess if I bitch about it here it won’t sound like I’m ragging on poor Tuba. I am really getting sick and tired of the constant board crashes and slowdowns—I only have certain moments at work when I can post, and half the time, I sit there waiting for the damn thing to come up! I don’t have this trouble with any other Web site—maybe because the SDMB doesn’t make a profit, the people responsible don’t give a good goddam about fixing the problem? Cripes . . . No wonder so many people have been sneaking off to Snopes! ---

Well, it _does_ have about 140,000 threads in it, about half as much larger than GQ. Still, this is a bit ridiculous. Since it feels like a tech problem to me, I feel bad for the admins and mods who have to deal with the fallout. Actually this is my fault. For once I actually tried to post a link that would be relevant and helpful regarding the topic at hand. I found a list of the top grossing movies of all time, adjusted for inflation, and was going to add it to the thread over there, and as soon as I hit “Submit”, the whole thing went to hell. I think the SDMB computer gremlins got confused when they saw me trying to do something useful and took the rest of the day off. ---

I was going to start a new thread about how I miss MPSIMS and hate wallowing in the Pit but I don’t want to break this forum too. The problem is my vocabulary doesn’t really stretch to meet the requirements here, being more of a “heck” and “gosh” man myself. I’ve answered all the questions in GQ. I’ve resolved all the Great Debates. I know all I want to know about this message board. All that’s left is to post in the Pit or get back to work.
