When I was a kid, so nearly 40 years ago, McDonald’s tried this thing where they would have waiter service, table cloths and flowers on the table and, best of all, live entertainment during the evening hours. It was advertised all over tv but I never saw one in action. They called it The Big Mac Supper Club. A Google search tells me that this was just a Los Angeles area thing and was only done for three weeks in 1976. They might have something like Next at Mac’s HQ, but I haven’t been in there for decades, going instead to the drivethru across the parking lot. I’ll ask if any coworkers have been in it lately. Last I heard they still served beer and wine. ---
